“For the first time in the U.S., GODIVA brings you exquisite chocolate mooncakes, a modern twist to a revered Chinese tradition. Nine irresistible pieces, each deliciously made and crafted to perfection. Perfect to gift this Mid-Autumn Festival holiday season.”
Thanks to Mikko from IW, I have received Godiva Chocolate Mooncakes for review. The chocolate mooncakes came in a red festival box. The golden lotus flowers on the box is beautiful.
“The GODIVA chocolate mooncakes are presented in a beautiful round gift box that reflects the shape of the full moon. The luxurious crimson-colored box is embossed with gold lotus flowers, perfect as gifts to all of the special people in your life during the Mid-Autumn Festival season.”
After opening in the box, I found nutrition facts sheet and info sheets of the chocolate.
There are 9 pieces of chocolate in the box, 1 large, and 8 small.
The centerpiece of the Mid-Autumn Festival moon cake collection is a dark chocolate mooncake with a layered filling of orange, red currant and lemon zest, with chestnut pear rice crisp. The collection also includes eight smaller mooncake pieces:
• milk chocolate filled with apricot and peach ganache with a hint of ginger on a layer of Turkish hazelnuts and Louisiana pecan praline (three chocolates)
• dark chocolate filled with passion fruit juice and mango crystal ganache on a layer of Australian macadamia praliné, caramelized hazelnuts and soy nuts (two chocolates)
• white chocolate filled with pomegranate juice and strawberry crystal ganache on a layer of Belgian almond praliné and caramelized crispy rice (three chocolates)
I haven’t tried the chocolate mooncakes yet because I am planning to bring it to my parents house when I visit this weekend. I can’t wait to enjoy it with my family!
This limited edition chocolate box is currently sold out online. You might still be able to find it in the Godiva stores. Happy Moon Festial! 中秋節快樂!!
